Al Hurra Documentary

I am catching up on my Weekly Standard reading today. "Uday's Oil-for-News Program" is quite an enlightening piece. It seems to confirm what most of us free-thinking folks have thought for quite a while: Al Jaazera is a very thinly veiled tool of Middle East despots and terrorists.

Does anyone know if the Alhurra expose on Saddam's financial links to the Arab press is available online or elsewhere (either dubbed in English or with subtitles)?

I've done some looking around online, and I can't find an english version of Al-Hurra. It may not exist yet. Al-Jezeera just added an english version to their website recently. Al-Hurra is still new.

However, MEMRI and it's companion site, MEMRI TV might have translated versions of the Uday documentary. Also worth a look is Watching America, which coalates and compiles foreign news casts to see what the rest of the world is saying about the US.

Just checked, no Uday documentary on MEMRI. I'll fire off an email to them suggesting that they translate that one. Sounds like a good one.

Hey Kad, let me know if you ever find this one. I know this mission is in good hands since you speak the language. I would love just to read the transcript if it exists!
