Daily Presidential Tracking Poll -- Lowest since he took office!

As far as I can remember, since I started watching this on Rasmussen, this is Obama's LOWEST approval index rating ever.

You now officially have NO excuse for your laziness. ;-)

Just another reason to love Indiana's Governor...

A friend from the Indiana Tea Party circles sent this to me today. I love reading the artful way in which Mitch Daniels, the Governor of Indiana, states the obvious to Congressmen who voted their party line at the expense of the people they allege to represent.

If you haven't read it already courtesy of Inside INdiana Business (where it was published yesterday), you can read it online here.

[Thanks for sending this my way today, Mark. I got a chuckle out of the subtle jabs in that letter!]

Just in case Israel had any doubts...

From Israel National News:

The Obama administration has announced the United States will join the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, another openly anti-Israel organization.

Spain admits green economy sold to Obama is a disaster.

When the socialistic Spain tells you our Emperor has no clothes, it's time to listen up! It's time to stop the charade and get Obama a pair of trousers, right?!

Pajamas Media Must Read

In Case You Missed It: Spain admits
that the green economy as sold to
Obama is a disaster - La Gaceta

Pajamas Media -- Exclusive Analysis
Leaked Spanish Report: Obama's Model 'Green Economy' a Disaster
May 21, 2010
By Christopher Horner

As predicted was inevitable, today the Spanish newspaper La Gaceta runs with a full-page article fessing up to the truth about Spain's "green jobs" boondoggle, which happens to be the one naively cited by President Obama no less than eight times as his model for the United States. It is now out there as a bust, a costly disaster that has come undone in Spain to the point that even the Socialists admit it, with the media now in full pursuit.

Breaking the Spanish government's admission here at Pajamas Media probably didn't hurt their interest in finally reporting on the leaked admission....

... La Gaceta boldly exposes the failure of the Spanish renewable policy and how Obama has been following it. The headline screams: "Spain admits that the green economy as sold to Obama is a disaster."...

The translated La Gaceta article and Christopher Horner's analysis can be read here.

Congratulations, Kentucky! Nice work at the polls today.

As opposed to the partial video from CNN of Rand Paul's victory speech tonight, have a listen to the entire speech courtesy of CN2. It's everything a Conservative Kentucky could have hoped to hear tonight. Wonderful!

Congratulations, Dr. Paul (and family) and David Adams and all of the tireless volunteers who worked hard for this win. I wish we could be in Bowling Green tonight celebrating with you all! WOOOOHOOOOO!

Let's make it long distance again REAL soon!

George Bush, Queen Elizabeth, and Vladimir Putin all die and go to hell. While there, they spy a red phone and ask what the phone is for. The devil tells them it is for calling back to Earth.

Putin asks to call Russia and talks for 5 minutes. When he is finished the devil informs him that the cost is a million dollars, so
Putin writes him a check.

Next Queen Elizabeth calls England and talks for 30 minutes. When she is finished the devil informs her that the cost is 6 million dollars, so she writes him a check.

Finally George W. Bush gets his turn and talks for 4 hours. When he is finished the devil informs him that the cost is $5.00.

When Putin hears this he goes ballistic and asks the devil why Bush got to call the USA so cheaply.

The devil smiles and replies, "Since Obama took over, the country has gone to hell, so it's a local call."

****************************************

KENTUCKIANS: Be sure to get out and vote in the primaries today (especially if you're voting for Rand Paul)!
Let's start moving the USA back to long distance status again.  ;-)

PJTV Streams Climate Debate LIVE

Pajamas Media was brilliant at its inception and continues that brilliance on streaming video. I love PJTV!

PJTV Streams Climate Debate LIVE
Online media leader offers viewers on-the-ground coverage
of International Conference on Climate Change

EL SEGUNDO, CA - PJTV today announced it will stream LIVE coverage of the Heartland Institute's 4th Annual International Conference on Climate Change (ICCC-4) - a worldwide gathering of global warming "realists" - from Chicago, IL, on May 16-18. The online television network will offer viewers videos and analysis from each keynote speaker as well as a number of the conference events.

"Climategate is hotter than ever - especially after the introduction of Sens. Kerry and Lieberman's American Power Act," said Roger L. Simon, CEO of Pajamas Media. "New evidence calls into question the impact human activity had on global temperatures in the 20th Century. Nonetheless, many opinion leaders and Members of Congress fail to discuss these new scientific discoveries that dismantle the liberal agenda. PJTV is excited to bring viewers a different part of the debate than is portrayed on Capitol Hill or in the main stream media."

Continuing their coverage of Climategate, PJTV will bring the global conference into the homes of viewers across the nation with all-day, exclusive coverage throughout the conference's duration. The three-day assembly, entitled "Reconsidering Science and Economics," will inform conference-goers about new scientific discoveries that force researchers to reassess humans' impact on global warming. Additionally, economists will be on-hand to discuss calculations about the financial weight of slowing or stopping global warming, comparing this data to the perceived social benefits.

"For too long, liberals in Congress and the media have silenced half the climate change debate," added Simon. "Just last week, for example, the Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming held a congressional hearing regarding climate change. However, Republicans were only allowed one witness - Lord Christopher Monckton, climate policy expert and PJTV commentator - to counter the four individuals representing the liberal viewpoint. It is time both arguments are brought to the American people's attention. PJTV intends to do just that."

PJTV will be streaming every keynote address live from Chicago, including speeches from:
· Harrison Schmitt, Ph.D., former Apollo 17 moonwalker (Sunday, May 16 at 7:25pm CDT)
· Steve McIntyre, Ph.D., Climate audit (Sunday, May 16 at 8:05pm CDT)
· Richard Lindzen, Ph.D., Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Monday, May 17 at 1:30pm CDT)
· Roy Spencer, Ph.D., University of Alabama - Huntsville (Tuesday, May 18 at 7:50am CDT)
· Lord Monckton, former policy advisor to Margaret Thatcher and climate change expert (Tuesday, May 18 at 2:05pm CDT)

Click here for full ICCC-4 coverage.

About the International Conference on Climate Change

The Heartland Institute, an independent nonprofit organization, is the host of ICCC-4. Heartland has been very active in the global warming debate, publishing books and monographs, maintaining multiple Web sites providing information on the issue, and in 2009, publishing Climate Change Reconsidered, a comprehensive reply to the latest report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

The speakers at the conference agree it is time to reconsider the science and economics of global warming. They do not all agree on the causes, extent, or consequences of climate change, or what should be done. The ICCCs are genuine scientific conferences in the sense that scientists and other experts are invited to share their latest research and engage in respectful debate with others.

Rand Paul 49% in latest poll

I think the debate on KET cinched it for Paul. He rocked and Grayson looked desperate... which makes his YouTube reaction below even funnier! ;-)

McConnell's Endorsement

I suppose it was only a matter of time but, given Jim DeMint's public endorsement of Rand Paul yesterday, it was bound to be soon. I finally heard it this morning on the radio on my way to work. What the heck am I talking about? Well, Mitch McConnell's official endorsement of Trey Grayson, of course! There is a radio commercial airing now in this area with McConnell talking about how he rarely endorses a candidate in the primary, but... (We all know what that's about, don't we?)

Trey Grayson is a nice guy. Seriously. He's been a good Attorney General for Kentucky so far. So, I'm sure that's a nail that Grayson's campaign coffin could have done without. The "establisment GOP" has made itself publicly known now and, unfortunately for Trey, it is not the endorsement of choice right now.

Sorry, Trey, but you're on the wrong side of political history this time. It's time to ditch the establisment in DC and try again another time. Hey, here's an idea -- become a Constitutional Conservative (whatever party you choose) and run for McConnell's Senate seat! I could certainly back you then.

Jim DeMint Endorsement of Rand Paul

Jim DeMint, on behalf of his "Senate Conservatives Fund," is endorsing and helping to raise campaign funds for Rand Paul! Yea!

Here's his message:

I'm proud to announce the next Senate Conservatives Fund endorsement, which goes to Dr. Rand Paul in Kentucky.

The primary for U.S. Senate in Kentucky is on Tuesday, May 18 so we have just two weeks to do everything we can help push him on to victory.

Rand Paul has been married to his loving wife, Kelley, for 19 years and they have three boys.

Rand is a career doctor, not a politician. His entrance into politics is indicative of his life's work: a desire to diagnose problems and provide practical solutions.

I had a chance to sit down with Rand last summer and I can tell you that he is one of the brightest, most principled candidates running this year. He is the kind of leader who will stand up to the Washington establishment to fight for our liberty.

Rand has been running on the issues that matter since the beginning of this campaign. He's a strong advocate for balanced budgets, he wants to end the culture of earmarks, he supports term limits, and he's 100% pro-life.

Rand is exactly the kind of leader Americans are looking for right now. He's not a career politician and he's got the guts to stand up to the massive spending, bailouts, and debt that are being forced on us in Washington.

I hope you will join me in supporting Dr. Rand Paul's bid for the U.S. Senate. Please make a contribution today to help us reach our goal of raising $50,000 for his campaign. These funds will help him get his conservative message out in the final days of this race.

This is very important because the Washington establishment has lined up against him. The DC crowd fears him because he doesn't owe them anything and cannot be intimidated.

We've already seen a number of dishonest attacks against Rand's conservative record, and it's critical that he get the resources to fight back.

To show you how serious this is, James Dobson recently reversed his endorsement for Rand's opponent and threw his full weight behind Rand because he had been mislead by the establishment about Rand's pro-life record. Click here to listen to Dobson's endorsement.

This is what happens when true conservatives run for office. They get attacked by progressives in both parties. But we're not going to let them get away with it.

Please join me, along with Senator Jim Bunning, Governor Sarah Palin, Steve Forbes, and James Dobson, in supporting Dr. Rand Paul for U.S. Senate.

Together, we can win this race and continue our campaign to take back our country one race at a time.

Sincerely,

Jim DeMint
United States Senator
Chairman, Senate Conservatives Fund
