GOOOH Endorsed by Constitution Party

Non-partisan plan to replace Congress rapidly expanding

Liberty Hill, TX 3/31/2010 12:54 PM GMT (TransWorldNews)

March 27 -- The Constitution Party announced today it is endorsing GOOOH, (acronym for Get Out Of Our House, pronounced “go”), the non-partisan plan to send independent citizen candidates to the U.S. House of Representatives. Founder Tim Cox was enthusiastically received at the biennial convention of the Constitution Party of Pennsylvania on Saturday, March 27, in Carlisle, PA, where he outlined the plan for the delegates.

Constitution Party National Chairman, Jim Clymer said, “We encourage every member of the Constitution Party as well as every constitutionally minded patriot in America to join GOOOH and participate in this effort to restore the ‘people’s House of Representatives’ by electing those truly representative of the values and principles held by hard-working, civic minded, patriotic citizens. Vice Chairman Darrell Castle and I are convinced this is a sensible plan that will break the duopoly of the two major parties and will allow those truly committed to Constitutional governance a chance to compete in the marketplace of ideas.”

The endorsement comes just a day after the release of a dynamic no-holds barred video from Get Out of Our House, highlighting the corruption in Washington and the need to replace Congress. GOOOH is a non-partisan system that seeks the modern day incarnations of Madison, Franklin, and Jefferson. It intends to bypass the two-party system and sever all ties with special interest money.
Cox said, “Americans have had enough of the outrageous spending, blatant corruption, and horrendous results in D.C. The vast majority are ready to fire every member of Congress. The endorsement of the Constitution Party is another monumental step forward in our effort to return control of our government to We the People.”

Curtis & Leroy

Curtis & Leroy

Curtis & Leroy saw an ad in the Starkville Daily News Newspaper in Starkville, MS. And bought a mule for $100.

The farmer agreed to deliver the mule the next day...

The next morning the farmer drove up and said,
"Sorry, fellows, I have some bad news, the mule died last night."

Curtis & Leroy replied,
"Well, then just give us our money back."

The farmer said,
"Can't do that. I went and spent it already.."

They said, "OK then, just bring us the dead mule."

The farmer asked, "What in the world ya'll gonna do with a dead mule?"

Curtis said, "We gonna raffle him off."

The farmer said, "You can't raffle off a dead mule!"

Leroy said, "We shore can! Heck, we don't hafta tell nobody he's dead!"

A couple of weeks later, the farmer ran into Curtis &Leroy at the Piggly Wiggly grocery store and asked.

"What'd you fellers ever do
with that dead mule?"

They said,"We raffled him
off like we said we wuz gonna do."

Leroy said,"Shucks, we sold 500
tickets fer two dollars apiece and made a profit of $998."

The farmer said,"My Lord, didn't anyone complain?"

Curtis said,
"Well, the feller who won got upset. So we gave him his two dollars back."

Curtis and Leroy now work for the government.

They're overseeing the Bailout Program.

Transparency, my arse!

I feel sometimes like I'm learning a whole new world of language... I believe Orwell called it "newspeak" in his novel "1984." If this is transparency, Mr. Obama, I'm the queen of freakin' Egypt. Bow down before me.

Appeal to be filed in stonewalling of FOIA request on war reporter Michael Yon's Seattle Airport arrest

March 30th, 2010, Fairfax, VA—Americans for Limited Government (ALG) will file an appeal Wednesday to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection over their denial of a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request related to the detention of highly acclaimed Afghanistan war journalist Michael Yon at Seattle Tacoma International Airport on January 5th, 2010.

Yon described the incident on his Facebook page, in the following way, "Got arrested at the Seattle airport for refusing to say how much money I make. (The uniformed ones say I was not "arrested", but they definitely handcuffed me.)  Their videos and audios should show that I was polite, but simply refused questions that had nothing to do with national security."

The ALG FOIA request seeks to determine the circumstances around the incident including any policies or instructions that are provided to agents related to appropriate questions that should be asked of incoming citizens.

Ironically, the initial FOIA request was denied on March 1st, 2010, just two weeks before the Obama Administration's self-proclaimed "Sunshine Week", where they applauded themselves for the work that has been done to increase transparency.

ALG and other groups have been increasingly frustrated by the lack of responsiveness of the Administration to FOIA requests, most notably a still unanswered request for information related to controversial Office of Legislative Counsel appointee Dawn Johnson's involvement in staffing decisions while she still awaits confirmation.

Harry Reid says 7,000 tea partiers are no big deal?

"Dump Harry Reid" is a new effort from the folks at Tax Day Tea Party. Here's what you need to know about it (and about the fall-out from "Showdown in Searchlight"):

Dump Harry Reid!
Last weekend our crew went to the Searchlight (Harry Reid's home town) Tea Party and handed out 1,000 "Dump Reid" stickers. We were there on the grounds at 7:30 AM, and there were already 1,000 gathered for the rally.

By noon, there were easily 15,000 people in the crowd. Politico said 20,000, CNN said a few hundred, check out some of the pictures and judge for yourself.

It's important to note that the rally was built around the idea that it's time for Harry Reid to be removed from office. So if we assume that at least 5,000 tea party activists gathered in the middle of the desert to plan the defeat of Harry Reid, one would have to conclude it a pretty significant event.

Not Harry Reid.

Politico said that Harry Reid laughed off the event because only 7,000 attended. Is this guy for real?

Let's get this straight. AT LEAST 7,000 activists rally in the middle of nowhere to rally against you and your attempt to remain in power, and it's no big deal because much larger crowds were expected?

This is very typical of Harry Reid. Out of touch with the people, and with what is happening around him.

In response, we've launched to begin building a coalition to oppose Harry Reid. Please visit and share it with all of your friends.

Take action!

It's time for them to GOOOH!!

[If the above embedded video doesn't display properly on your screen, please click here to view it directly on YouTube. You'll be glad you did. This is powerful!]

If this doesn't make your blood boil then you're not paying attention. If you're not paying attention then when you wake up, you're really going to be pissed off!

Are you really that apathetic? I don't think so; I think you're just not in the mood for reality. Do you really want to leave these mounds of debt, corruption, and shame to your children, to your children's children? I doubt it; you're not that selfish.

Get out from behind your computer and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!

GOOOH is the brilliant solution that we've been waiting for. It's the simplest and fastest path to doing exactly what we've all been talking about doing - throwing the bums out!

Are you ready to stop talking and start doing? Join us.

Help put parents back in charge of their kids' futures

For too long, Kentucky parents have had to settle for the status quo in their children's public education.
It's time to put parents back in charge of their kids' futures.
Thirty nine other states allow for charter schools – independent public schools that are run locally, with input from parents and members of the community.

It's time to ask our Kentucky lawmakers – "Where are our independent public schools?"
We have a unique opportunity right now to give back Kentucky's public education system to the people of Kentucky.
Click here to tell your legislator – now is the chance to get this right.

Let's not settle for anything less than the best for Kentucky students.

I hope I can count on your support.

Democracy Denied

If you suspect you are being ignored and that this administration is doing what it damn well pleases, you're right. Here it is laid out graphically for you in the Obama Chart.

What a terrific piece of work by the folks at Americans For Prosperity! I'm glad someone is watching and charting this to make it easier for some of us to explain this administration's robbery of our liberties, one end-run at a time.

Physicians Unwilling to Call Time of Death for Health Care Freedom!

Over 700 people
filled the room to capacity on Thursday evening to hear 3 AAPS physicians speak about efforts to keep medical freedom alive despite ObamaCare being signed into law.  The "How to Stop ObamaCare" Rally was sponsored by Americans for Prosperity and the Tucson Tea Party.  The Tucson Fox affiliate covered the event.

Eric Novack, MD spoke about the Arizona Health Care Freedom Act (, which will appear on the ballot this November.  It is the model for similar efforts across the country that could stop the government takeover of medical care.  The proposed amendment to the Arizona Constitution is based on two simple principles.  One, bureaucrats cannot prevent citizens from spending their own money on lawful medical services, and two, citizens cannot be forced to participate in any healthcare plan.  To read more and to support efforts to pass this act (the opposition is going to great lengths to stop it) visit

Dr. Novack also pointed out a few of the serious issues with ObamaCare:

Small and big business alike will be hurt.

2) The writers of the bill exempted themselves from participating.

3) The IRS could expand by 16,000 agents to enforce penalties imposed by ObamaCare at a cost of $10 billion.

4) Services and procedures not covered under ObamaCare may not be available at all.

5) Health Savings Accounts are in danger under ObamaCare.

6) Tax payer funds could to be used to fund abortions and services to illegal aliens.

Lee Vliet, M.D. reminded us that ObamaCare was signed into law on the anniversary of Patrick Henry's legendary speech and that the day prior was the anniversary of the Stamp Act. .

Jane Orient, M.D. made the case that the most dangerous part of the bill is the individual mandate.  Many lawsuits questioning the Constitutionality of this mandate are being filed, including one by AAPS.

Reid Supporters Throw Eggs at Tea Party Express Buses

Folks, what can we say about this other than, "it figures." Unfortunately, I know firsthand that it takes almost nothing other than showing up with a different opinion than the Left to totally torque them. It's sad but it's true. The good news? I'll bet Harry Reid is the one with egg on his face in November. I'm grateful to the Tea Party Express folks and the thousands who turn out for this today. Wish I could be there!

BREAKING: Harry Reid Supporters Egg Tea Party Express Buses in Route

Supporters of Senator Harry Reid have just thrown eggs at the Tea Party Express bus caravan - striking at least one of the three buses (the red Tea Party Express bus) with multiple eggs.

About 35 Reid supporters had lined Highway 95 in front of the Nugget Casino in Searchlight where they were attempting a counter-demonstration the tens of thousands of tea party supporters who are gathering for the "Showdown in Searchlight."

Yeah! What he said!

...come on, admit it. You need a good shouting at or you know someone who does!

Bob doesn't realize it but what he's telling you to do is to get onboard with GOOOH. NOW!

That's what we're all about. We're going to find the best every congressional district nationwide has to offer via our selection process and then give you a national slate of 435 candidates - vote them all in on their own merits, no party required... unless, of course, it's a VICTORY party!

Guess who's plunging into Dark Ages for "Earth Hour"?!

Happy Human Achievement Hour!
From my friends at the Competitive Enterprise Institute...
Yesterday I mentioned to you the dueling Earth Hour versus Human Achievement Hour, coming up this Saturday evening, March 27, at 8:30 p.m. YourTime.  I thought you might be interested in who (reportedly) is taking the plunge into darkness & despair for Earth Hour, unlike the rest of us who will be lights ON for Human Achievement Hour.
I am not making this up.

Ironically, the rush to darkness is troubling some government types, like the Niagara Falls fire department, who are worried about public safety.
If you would like to help celebrate Human Achievement Hour, instead, here's what you can you do to participate:
Happy Human Achievement Hour!

Force of Darkness "Earth Hour" Challenged by Power of Light "Human Achievement Hour"

CEI Announces 2nd Annual Celebration of Human Achievement

Washington, D.C., March 19, 2010—The Competitive Enterprise Institute, a leading free-market think tank, will celebrate the Second Annual "Human Achievement Hour" between 8:30pm and 9:30pm on Saturday, March 27, 2010. The one-hour celebration coincides with "Earth Hour," an hour in which governments, individuals, and corporations will dim or shut off lights to symbolically renounce the environmental impacts of modern technology.

"Earth Hour's creators suggest that human inventions and technology are a problem, but we see the ability to create and innovate as the ultimate resource," says Human Achievement Hour founder and CEI Policy Analyst Michelle Minton. "Environmental challenges will not be solved by turning off our lights and symbolically hiding in the dark," Minton added. "If anything, we should be looking to technology and innovation to help solve environmental problems."

Just like last year, countless individuals, organizations, agencies and businesses will be celebrating Human Achievement Hour without even realizing it. Just by not shutting down their lights, operations and stores, they will be acknowledging that productive effort and the pursuit of happiness are a better alternative than sitting in the dark.

In addition to the observance of Human Achievement Hour, wherever people may find themselves around the world, CEI will be hosting a happy hour event outside of Washington, D.C.

VIDEO: NBC Nightly News on "Showdown in Searchlight"

I really need you to read this email.  Please - it's critically important!

We urgently need you to join us in Searchlight, NV tomorrow (Saturday) and this email explains exactly why.

Last night NBC Nightly News joined dozens of other national & international news outlets to report on the upcoming "Showdown in Searchlight."  The whole world is watching - and I'm not exaggerating at all.

This is by far the biggest event in the tea party movement since Congress rammed through government-run heath care this past weekend.  And as a result, everyone is waiting to see if the tea party movement is reinvigorated or if we've resigned ourselves to defeat.  Here is what NPR had to say:

"This weekend will be critical for the Tea Party and conservatives," says David Yepsen of Southern Illinois University's Paul Simon Public Policy Institute.

And here was NBC Nightly News sending a correspondent to report from the rally site - 2 days before the rally even takes place:

But it wasn't just NBC and NPR.  CNN-Headline News had this report:

Here is the report from USA Today:

Still don't believe me that the whole world is watching?

Here's a report from the Washington Times.  Here's the report from the Las Vegas Sun.  And another report from the San Francisco Chronicle.  And there's a great report you must read from WorldNetDaily.

And there's even more.  Here's the report from AOL News.  And National Journal.  I could go on and on... this is just the tip of the iceberg, but I hope by now you get the point.

We need you in Searchlight this Saturday (tomorrow).  If you can get in your car and drive up, or hop on a plane, or take your motorhome or motorcycle, please please please join this historic effort.

Our team has worked so hard to make this event possible - backed by a coalition of dozens of national, state and local tea party and conservative organizations from ResistNet to AngerIsBrewing, our great friends at FreeRepublic and many more.  We promise you it will be an incredible experience.  It's already being called potentially one of the largest such rallies in Nevada's history.  And it hasn't even taken place yet.

Showdown in Searchlight: Tea Party Supporters Already Arriving

I sure wish we could have helped throw Harry Reid out of office before the debacle he and the others in the triumvirate of evil (Pelosi and Obama) perpetrated on the American people. Oh well. Better late than never, I suppose!

I've seen this "Showdown in Searchlight" event referred to elsewhere as the "Conservative Woodstock" but the organizers have now confirmed it! It sounds like the camping part of the deal is accurate. I just hope there is no rain and no bad acid...  ;-)

Land Owner Invites Tea Party Activists to

"Camp Out" at Rally Site Starting Tonight (Friday Evening)

The "Showdown in Searchlight" mega tea party event is more than 24-hours away, yet supporters have already started arriving in Searchlight for the event.  In fact, the owner of the 160-acre property that the rally is being held on (Mr. T.D. Barnes) has invited supporters to come and camp out at the rally location beginning this evening (Friday, March 26th).

It doesn't get closer to a "Conservative Woodstock" than this.

NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams aired a report on the upcoming rally on Thursday evening's broadcast, including an interview with a man who had just arrive for the rally... from Montana.  Watch the news report by NBC News' Lee Cowan - HERE:

Staging and equipment for the rally will also begin arriving this afternoon, and staff from the Tea Party Express will work with local coordinators to ensure that the event runs as smoothly as possible.

"We have untold thousands of people coming for what may be the biggest such rally in Nevada's history.  It might be crowded or chaotic at times, but it will be a profoundly meaningful and significant event for those who come join our tea party rally," said Ryan Gill of the Tea Party Express.

BREAKING: Democrat claims of violence incite violence against tea partiers

I received this email message from the Patriot Caucus just a few minutes ago. This is getting frightening, folks. It has to stop. Please share this information with everyone in your circle. The media won't be reporting on the attacks coming our way from Leftist hate-mongers and extremists; it's up to us...

We're under assault!

Fellow Patriots,

This email is extremely important. As you probably know, there have been several claims of violence against Democrat members of Congress following the healthcare fight. The media is grossly exaggerating these claims, while refusing to report on the fact that WE are under constant threat from leftists and Govcare supporters.

During the past two days, I've personally received hundreds of hateful messages and phone calls, and this morning I had a voicemail that contained a physical threat against me.

You can watch a YouTube video containing the audio of the threat here. I also strongly recommend you read the entire post and watch the Glenn Beck video on the same post.

Essentially, Glenn Beck points out the fact that we're all being provoked, and a violent response is what they want. But even worse is the fact that even though they haven't yet gotten the response they want, they're working with the media to make it appear as though they have.

When in reality, what they're doing is inciting violence against innocent tea party activists like you and me.

This is a frightening situation. We need to be careful, focused, and strategic with our activism moving forward.

These are dangerous times.

For Liberty,
-Eric Odom, National Chair

I felt like I was there -- a must read on the past weekend in DC!

It appears that Kentucky's Attorney General, Jack Conway, is more concerned with his campaign for the US Senate than he is with the sovereignty of our state. (I know, I know... it's just shocking, isn't it? A Democrat who is unconcerned with the US Constitution! Who knew?)

From the Kentucky House Republican Caucus page in Facebook:

Representative Hoover Renews Call Upon Attorney General

Frankfort, KY- House Republican Floor Leader Jeff Hoover has once again urged Kentucky's Attorney General, Jack Conway, to join thirteen of his colleagues in challenging the constitutionality of the health care reform legislation that has been signed into law by President Barack Obama, the bill's chief advocate.

In this, the second hand delivered letter to General Conway also signed by all 35 members of the House Republican Caucus, Representative Hoover cites the recent passage and enactment of this bill as the basis for a renewed call and implores General Conway to recognize the additional $300 million annual burden this mandate will place on the taxpayers of Kentucky who can least afford such a levy in these uncertain economic times.

"This health care mandate unconstitutionally requires every American to purchase some form of health insurance, regardless of age, income or circumstances, but the pain doesn't end there," said Representative Hoover. "It also places an overbearing burden on our Commonwealth's already strained budget by forcing the expansion of Medicaid while singlehandedly ravaging our citizens' constitutional granted rights and liberties."

In a letter delivered to General Conway on January 6, Representative Hoover and the House Republican Caucus urged General Conway to join a group of his colleagues across the nation, both Democrat and Republican, in filing a lawsuit questioning the constitutionality of the national health care bill. The original request, which specifically noted the dramatically increased financial burden this bill would levy against Kentuckians as well as the "sweetheart" deals that were conspicuously added to garner support, was rejected by General Conway on the basis that it was premature and would be wasteful to use the resources of his office on such an investigation.

Representative Hoover added, "As a collective voice, our caucus is once again unanimously calling upon General Conway to carry out his duties as the chief legal officer in the Commonwealth and challenge the constitutionality of a mandate that will require individuals to buy health insurance and place a population-based tax on states. This corrupt legislation contains various provisions and federal directives that clearly violate the U.S. Constitution by infringing on each citizen's ability to control their health care choices and must not be allowed to stand."

"I'm Tired"

I'm 63 and I'm Tired

by Robert A. Hall

I'm 63. Except for one semester in college when jobs were scarce and a six-month period when I was between jobs, but job-hunting every day, I've worked, hard, since I was 18. Despite some health challenges, I still put in 50-hour weeks, and haven't called in sick in seven or eight years. I make a good salary, but I didn't inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, there's no retirement in sight, and I'm tired. Very tired.

I'm tired of being told that I have to "spread the wealth" to people who don't have my work ethic. I'm tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it.

I'm tired of being told that I have to pay more taxes to "keep people in their homes." Sure, if they lost their jobs or got sick, I'm willing to help. But if they bought McMansions at three times the price of our paid-off, $250,000 condo, on one-third of my salary, then let the left-wing Congress-critters who passed Fannie and Freddie and the Community Reinvestment Act that created the bubble help them with their own money.

I'm tired of being told how bad America is by left-wing millionaires like Michael Moore, George Soros and Hollywood Entertainers who live in luxury because of the opportunities America offers. In thirty years, if they get their way, the United States will have the economy of Zimbabwe , the freedom of the press of China , the crime and violence of Mexico , the tolerance for Christian people of Iran , and the freedom of speech of Venezuela .

I'm tired of being told that Islam is a "Religion of Peace," when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men killing their sisters, wives and daughters for their family "honor"; of Muslims rioting over some slight offense; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren't "believers"; of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for "adultery"; of Muslims mutilating the genitals of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur'an and Shari'a law tells them to.

I'm tired of being told that "race doesn't matter" in the post-racial world of Obama, when it's all that matters in affirmative action jobs, lower college admission and graduation standards for minorities (harming them the most), government contract set-asides, tolerance for the ghetto culture of violence and fatherless children that hurts minorities more than anyone, and in the appointment of U.S. Senators from Illinois.

I think it's very cool that we have a black president and that a black child is doing her homework at the desk where Lincoln wrote the Emancipation Proclamation. I just wish the black president was Condi Rice, or someone who believes more in freedom and the individual and less arrogantly of an all-knowing government.

I'm tired of a news media that thinks Bush's fundraising and inaugural expenses were obscene, but that think Obama's, at triple the cost, were wonderful; that thinks Bush exercising daily was a waste of presidential time, but Obama exercising is a great example for the public to control weight and stress; that picked over every line of Bush's military records, but never demanded that Kerry release his; that slammed Palin, with two years as governor, for being too inexperienced for VP, but touted Obama with three years as senator as potentially the best president ever. Wonder why people are dropping their subscriptions or switching to Fox News? Get a clue. I didn't vote for Bush in 2000, but the media and Kerry drove me to his camp in 2004.

I'm tired of being told that out of "tolerance for other cultures" we must let Saudi Arabia use our oil money to fund mosques and madrassa Islamic schools to preach hate in America , while no American group is allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia to teach love and tolerance.

I'm tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global warming, which no one is allowed to debate. My wife and I live in a two-bedroom apartment and carpool together five miles to our jobs. We also own a three-bedroom condo where our daughter and granddaughter live. Our carbon footprint is about 5% of Al Gore's, and if you're greener than Gore, you're green enough.

I'm tired of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses while they tried to fight it off? I don't think Gay people choose to be Gay, but I damn sure think druggies chose to take drugs. And I'm tired of harassment from cool people treating me like a freak when I tell them I never tried marijuana.

I'm tired of illegal aliens being called "undocumented workers," especially the ones who aren't working, but are living on welfare or crime. What's next? Calling drug dealers, "Undocumented Pharmacists"? And, no, I'm not against Hispanics. Most of them are Catholic, and it's been a few hundred years since Catholics wanted to kill me for my religion. I'm willing to fast track for citizenship any Hispanic person, who can speak English, doesn't have a criminal record and who is self-supporting without family on welfare, or who serves honorably for three years in our military.... Those are the citizens we need.

I'm tired of latte liberals and journalists, who would never wear the uniform of the Republic themselves, or let their entitlement-handicapped kids near a recruiting station, trashing our military. They and their kids can sit at home, never having to make split-second decisions under life and death circumstances, and bad mouth better people than themselves. Do bad things happen in war? You bet. Do our troops sometimes misbehave? Sure. Does this compare with the atrocities that were the policy of our enemies for the last fifty years and still are? Not even close. So here's the deal. I'll let mys elf be subjected to all the humiliation and abuse that was heaped on terrorists at Abu Ghraib or Gitmo, and the critics can let themselves be subject to captivity by the Muslims, who tortured and beheaded Daniel Pearl in Pakistan, or the Muslims who tortured and murdered Marine Lt. Col. William Higgins in Lebanon, or the Muslims who ran the blood-spattered Al Qaeda torture rooms our troops found in Iraq, or the Muslims who cut off the heads of schoolgirls in Indonesia, because the girls were Christian. Then we'll compare notes. British and American soldiers are the only troops in history that civilians came to for help and handouts, instead of hiding from in fear.

I'm tired of people telling me that their party has a corner on virtue and the other party has a corner on corruption. Read the papers; bums are bipartisan. And I'm tired of people telling me we need bipartisanship. I live in Illinois , where the "Illinois Combine" of Democrats has worked to loot the public for years. Not to mention the tax cheats in Obama's cabinet.

I'm tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of both parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful mistakes, when we all know they think their only mistake was getting caught. I'm tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor.

Speaking of poor, I'm tired of hearing people with air-conditioned homes, color TVs and two cars called poor. The majority of Americans didn't have that in 1970, but we didn't know we were "poor." The poverty pimps have to keep changing the definition of poor to keep the dollars flowing.

I'm real tired of people who don't take responsibility for their lives and actions. I'm tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination or big-whatever for their problems.

Yes, I'm damn tired. But I'm also glad to be 63. Because, mostly, I'm not going to have to see the world these people are making. I'm just sorry for my granddaughter.

Robert A. Hall is a Marine Vietnam veteran who served five terms in the Massachusetts State Senate.

[Thanks to my Massachusetts-based sister-in-law, Cindy, for sharing this with me today. I'm tired too, damn it, and I'm not close to 63 yet!]
