Manufacturers announced today that they will be stocking America's shelves this week with "Clinton Soup," in honor of one of the nations' most distinguished men. It consists primarily of a weenie in hot water.
Chrysler Corporation is adding a new car to its line to honor Bill Clinton. The Dodge Drafter will be built in Canada.
When asked what he thought about foreign affairs, Clinton replied, I don't know, I never had one.
The Clinton revised judicial oath: "I solemnly swear to tell the truth as I know it, the whole truth as I believe it to be, and nothing but what I think you need to know."
Clinton will be recorded in history as the only President to do Hanky Panky between the Bushes.
Thanks to my friend JR for sending these my way today!

I don't know much about Jay McChord, Lucilu. I googled his name and it turned up his website (www.jaymcchord.com) -- the site told me very little about his actual political ideology (which is to be expected from a politican's website). Surprisingly, there was very little about any of his achievements on the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Council for the 9th District except something called the "Healthway Trail." He is an incumbent in November, I believe?
Based on what I read on his site -- his involvement with the small business community and his statements on promoting economic growth -- he *seems* like a good fiscal Conservative; however, the use of the term "progressive" in some of the pages of his site was a bit worrisome to me. What is Jay McChord primarily known for in Lexington? I'm curious!
I am 3rd generation Lexingtonian in his 2nd term on Council serving a district I've lived in my whole life.
Was one of the 9 who overturned the Condemnation (Govt Takeover) of the (private) utility company 2 years ago.
Brought over $6 million of road into my district (12times the amount over a previous 3 yr period).
Brought over $2 million into district parks.
Was a creator of the "Healthway" Trail System. Started as 6+ miles of trail connecting district parks and has moved to a 35+ mile trail going from KY HOrse Park to the KY River.
Testified before KY Leg. about how to take what we are doing in Lex and create a "Healthway Movement" across KY to improve the health of our Economy, Environment and our People.
Extremely involved in the Downtown revitalization movement.
Personally I believe its all about creating economic opportunity for individuals, families and businesses. And that the best way for Governmnet to assist that is to (oftentimes) get out of the way of private enterprise.
Government can lead by removing obstacles so people's lives can be improved.
The reason I ran and am in office (and will run again next yr) is because Lex and KY live well below their privilige.
I want to help Lex be a place where my daughter considers staying and IF she does stay she can compete globally.
Now you know who Jay McChord is and what he's about.
