Just when I thought I couldn't possibly be more excited about the future of the civilized people of this world, Arafat's death on Nov. 11th just raised the excitement meter! Someone pinch me, please, I think I may be dreaming...
I'm sure it surprised no one of any intellect that the French took him in while he was deathly ill and then sent his corpse home in a style more suiting a statesman than a terrorist. After all, I do believe the French do their part on a regular basis to ensure they make money off of all terrorist "heads of state" -- no discrimination there. I'm sure it surprised no one of any intellect that Arafat is being eulogized as a world leader who struggled for peace for his people. Awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, I'm sure Arafat knew that his Liberal friends worldwide would ensure that his legacy will be misrepresented for years to come as one of "the struggle for peace." I pray that this terrorist does NOT rest in peace. He deserves an eternity of the same hell he rained down on, not only his own people, but innocent civilians during a lifetime of terror and corruption.
I am excited about the possibilities now. The world is waiting for a civilized statesman with the interest of his people and the world in mind to work with the civilized world to pull the Palestinian people out of poverty and corruption into a world of peace for themselves and their neighbors, the Israelis. Apparently, the Palestinian Authority has chosen Mahmoud Abbas (also known as Abu Mazen) as their next leader. This may very well be the choice that needed to be made for Palestinian leadership AGES ago! Mr. Abbas, the world is watching...
President Bush's legacy, already quite breath-taking and profound, is now ready to expand to making peace where lesser Presidents have failed... The Bush presidency is bound to go down in history as one of the best things to ever happen to the civilized world. We live in such a promising time!
