Wow! Eyes Wide Open and Still Researching...

Following up on a recent post to my blog "Don't we owe them something?" I was combing the internet tonight, browsing information on mandatory birth control and other related topics when I ran across a paper published on the EWTN website (Global Catholic Network). This paper written by Mike Perry (still tracking him down on the web), is a fascinating read for those of us who have never delved into the roots and history of Planned Parenthood. He draws interesting connections between birth control, eugenics, Nazi Germany, the Civil War, race building, and what we know today as Planned Parenthood. Basically, it is the culmination of a movement meant to control/reduce the population of the poor, working class immigrant communities in the United States. Call me naive but I had never really thought long enough about the historical context to draw these connections myself.

Here's a brief excerpt:

These organizations arose out of the fears of America's affluent, educated elite. To have more money and time for themselves, they were having fewer children. As a result they were alarmed by the high birth rates of poor and working-class people.[2] They considered the prolific poor, as Sanger put it, "the most far reaching peril to the future of civilization."[3]

Let me be very clear about this. I'm not vouching for the veracity or integrity of the information in this paper (just yet). I intend to continue researching the author and the content of this paper. For now, I'm merely blogging this because I find it extremely interesting. I mean, if it is indeed true, then the true nature of Liberal elites and their "pro-choice" agenda becomes starkly clear to anyone who cares to see it. Wouldn't the minority communities be incensed if they were to find this to be true? I'm incensed and, according to race building philosophies, I'm a "desirable!"

Again, I'm compelled to quote a bit from Perry's paper:

Mention abortion and liberals are eager to provide the poor with the same choice (abortion) as the rich. Mention education for that same child and liberals become openly hostile.

Stay tuned for more on this as I continue to backtrack some of the info and the author...

Well, Kinayda, I guess I'm the last to know about PP and their roots in eugenics. It's sad, really. This puts the Libs right up their with the Nazis. I think most of us understood the Libs to be elitists but I doubt that many people like me had any idea just how elite the Libs think they are!

What is scary here is your willingness to believe everything coming from your moral and political point of view. From the short bit I've read I do mean EVERYTHING. Ya know God did not write the bible? Also Jesus condemned exactly all of what is going on in religion today. He spoke and proffered NO one religion. He was descendant of the House of David and was really a king? He was flesh and bones? He married and had a child? What you are amazed at re: PP you take as whole cloth because of what?

Well, Bill, it seems that you don't REALLY read my posts because if you did, you would have run across this in my post about PP:

Contrary to wild assumptions on your part, I don't believe everything that comes from my political corner of the world. It would behoove you to understand that I am not a religious person either, contrary to your wild assumptions. Your comment seems pretty reactionary to me. It's nice to be able to wildly emote, I suppose. What interests me most is why you chose to bring religion into your comment? I didn't bring religion into my post about PP...

As the Blog Turns...

Gee. I have found myself fascinated by the soap opera unfolding in the comments section of this blog since last night. One little mention on a controversial Democrat's blog and it's High Noon on ConservaChick! (Yes, I'm laughing while I type this.) For those of you who have no idea what's happening in the ever-expanding comments section , join the club! Here's what I know about Mark Nickolas from bits and pieces I've read on his blog, and from a local news report: Nickolas likes to sneer at Republicans and call them snide little nicknames as he provides his "Unfiltered and Candid Look at Politics, Politicians and the Media in Kentucky;" he raised a ruckus within the Democrat party here in Kentucky by filing a suit against the chairman of the party , Jerry Lundergan; and he will be appearing on the same panel with yours truly on Thursday night. That's about it. You now have the benefit of my not-so-extensive knowledge on this subject. Nickolas poste...

Friday Night with Hugh and Friends

The consummate Conservative host, Hugh Hewitt, and yours truly! Shameless of me to post this, I know; however, I'm too jazzed to care. :-p What a wonderful way to spend a Friday night! After an hour or so wandering through some of the exhibits at the Frazier Historical Arms Museum, I then got to spend three hours with Hugh Hewitt and 599 other fans of his show. I absolutely MUST say that not only was Hugh wonderful and the live show very entertaining, but his fans are absolutely the nicest people! I've seen other radio talk show s done live and mingled with fans of those shows. Hugh Hewitt's fans are the nicest, most down to earth, friendly people I've ever met. It's quite a credit to Hugh that he draws such a fan base. If you haven't been to the Frazier Historical Arms Museum here in Louisville, it's a must-see. The museum shows an amazing artistry with the exhibits and places them in the context of the times in a very entertaining and educationa...

Is conscription the prescription?

US Representative, Charlie Rangel (D-NY) is at it again. Rangel's prescription for fixing the ills we're feeling in Iraq is a draft . I have very mixed feelings about this. Conscription is conscription no matter what you choose to label it. Is that appropriate in a free country? On the flip side of this coin, I've often thought that compulsory national service would be a great idea for American kids right out of high school. It might have been a better start for me than learning to down beer at a Liberal Arts university! Two years in the service might give kids time to think about their future, learn higher levels of responsibility, and begin to take life more seriously. There are many countries who require some level of mandatory military service: Belarus, Chile, China, Croatia, Serbia, Russia, Iran, Lebanon, our neighbor Mexico, and our old buddy Germany, to name a few. Gee, now that I look at that partial list... aren't many of those countries Socialist or at battl...
