I just wanted to take a few minutes before bed to commend ABC's Nightline on their story about blogging. Nice job, fellas. Although the story was missing some badly needed granularity on blogging as an art form, it was nonetheless on target with regard to the power of the blogging community. I wish that they'd picked a better story to illustrate the power of blogging rather than the Liberal schoolteacher's story. I can't imagine why in the world that would have attracted their attention when the big story was how the blogosphere brought Rather and his cronies to their knees during "Memogate." There's no accounting for taste, I suppose.
I do believe the host of Nightline, at one point, actually said that bloggers had given the news media a "badly needed kick in the pants." That alone was worth staying up late to hear! Interesting to note that this story comes during Dan Rather's retirement week... ;-)
