While the cries of racism continue with regard to the rescue/evacuation effort of the citizens of New Orleans, apparently one Representative from New Orleans cannot be accused of racism. He did, indeed, help one black citizen in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. He was definitely on the job and looking out for his community when he used the National Guard to rescue the possessions of one black New Orleans resident. That resident's name? William Jefferson.

Where was this story on the televised media coverage of Katrina? It did not make the televised newscasts (as far as I can tell) but it was website-worthy on ABC News's website!
