My brother, Dad, and I recently threw a big party for the one-year anniversary of my Mom's diagnosis of cancer -- she's in remission! -- and her 65th birthday. It was an absolute blast but the planning and execution of that while keeping up with big projects at work has been a test of my stamina. Sheesh, this year is absolutely FLYING by in my little world!
As a token of my appreciation for your patience with my lack of posting here lately, I hope you'll get a chuckle out of the photo collage I put together for the party. This collage is meant as a representation of my Mom's best qualities (loving wife, mother and grandmother, goofy/fun gal pal, lovely woman). Enjoy!
By the way, if you live in the Louisville area and are looking for a great place to host a large party, I HIGHLY recommend the Kingfish Restaurant on River Road. Their banquet room is outstanding (large, great view of the river, dance floor, and audio/video capabilities, etc.) and their staff is extraordinarily helpful. We plan to use them again and again!
