Restore Funding for the Border Fence

If you haven't been paying close attention to DC lately, you might have missed this bit of Congressional trickery: Without explanation, Congress has stripped away $3 billion in desperately needed funds to build the Border Fence that it approved last year and to provide for other border security. That's right—without telling the public, Congress is pulling the plug on the U.S.-Mexico Border Fence that it voted for with such enthusiasm last year (just before they asked voters to re-elect them). [...] Time is critical—Congress will finalize this funding question before Christmas! Grassfire.org has done a great job of laying out the events leading up to this bit of treachery by Congress in a special report, " Government Border Fence Trickery ." Read it to find out how these types of "scams" are conducted. Take action today by signing this petition to let Congress know that you care about illegal immigration and that you're paying attention! My name's on

"American Troops are Winning"

[...] "In short, for the sake of placating MoveOn.org and other radical anti-war groups, the Democratic leadership is willing to lay off thousands of employees in America and under cut the incredible success of our troops in Iraq. Such logic is perverse and infuriating, especially to courageous Democrats like Reps. Brian Baird and Jim Marshall, who have moved beyond partisanship to support the success being achieved in Iraq." [...] Lt. Pete Hegseth, who served in Iraq with the 101st Airborne Division from 2005 to 2006, is executive director of Vets for Freedom . Read the terrific editorial he wrote; it appears in today's Washington Times .

Terrorists say the darnedest things.

Interviewer: "How could Syrian intelligence get to Abu Mus'ab Al-Zarqawi? What was their purpose? What did Syrian intelligence want?" Jawhar: "It is not in the Syrians' interest for Iraq to remain calm even for a moment. They benefit from this. The more Iraq is destroyed, the more pleased they are, because if the Americans feel comfortable in Iraq, they will move on to many other places. For the same reasons, it is not in the Iranians' interest... I don't know if you noticed, but the Shi'ites started fighting the Americans only two years ago. It's not the Shi'ites - the Iranians asked them to fight, and sent them weapons, explosive devices, and so on, because if the Americans feel comfortable in Iraq, they will move on to the other areas. Have you forgotten about the New Middle East?" [...] MEMRI has posted excerpts from (and a link to the video of) an Al-Arabiya TV Interview with a Former Al-Qaeda Trainer in Iraq . Ah yes. It's a sick joke!

The Pope took a couple of days off to visit the mountains of Alaska for some sight-seeing. He was cruising along the campground in the Pope-mobile when there was a frantic commotion just at the edge of the woods. A helpless environmentalist, wearing sandals, shorts, a "Save the Whales" hat, and an "I love Al Gore" T-shirt, was screaming while struggling frantically, thrashing around trying to free himself from the grasp of a 10-foot grizzly bear. As the Pope watched horrified, a group of Republican loggers came racing up. One quickly fired a .44 magnum into the bear's chest. The other two reached up and pulled the bleeding, semiconscious environmentalist from the bear's grasp. Then using long clubs, the three loggers finished off the bear and two of them threw it onto the bed of their truck while the third tenderly placed the injured environmentalist in the back seat. As they prepared to leave, the Pope summoned them to come over. "I give you my blessin

Merry Freakin' Christmas. Here's your furlough.

Initial Pentagon Furlough Notices to Be Sent Out This Week Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon England has notified Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Carl Levin that a notice of pending furloughs will be sent to 100,000 affected civilian employees and contractors this week. While leftwing politicians play games with the funding for our troops and their operations during wartime in an effort to somehow "hurt" President Bush, civil service workers will be the first to pay the price. Over 100,000 civilian employees are going to be furloughed without pay. Sadly, the only Christmas image I can seem to picture is that of Reid & Pelosi as Mr. and Mrs. Santa smiling, waving, and saying, "Ha Ha Ha! Merry freakin' Christmas! Here's your furlough! (I hope you weren't expecting a bow on this...)" Let's hope those clowns stop screwing around with funding our troops and their services this way during wartime. Drop them a note, folks. Call their offices.

Pork and Conservatism... pass the antacids

I have been quietly watching the ramp-up to 2008's elections. I've tried to hold my tongue. Really, I have. However, my eyes have been opened now to the stupor into which I allowed myself to be lulled by the same old songs of Republican politicians. I'm mad as hell and I'm not gonna take it anymore! So why am I all up in arms this afternoon? In preparation for some tough choices in the GOP primary in 2008, I began doing some research online. Lo and behold, among my travels online, I found some of my favorite Conservatives rated badly on the Club for Growth's RePORK Cards for the Senate and the House . Let's just say that I was offended to find only ONE of Kentucky's Senators on the list of Top 10 Anti-Pork Senators ! (Again, thank you for your true Conservatism, Senator Bunning.) In the "good old days," Conservatives rejected an overblown federal government whose voracious appetite for bigger and bigger spending meant more taxes and subsequently a

Conservative Diversity on Parade

Like every other blogger on the planet, I have a few thoughts to share regarding last night's GOP debate on CNN. I know there are supposed to be no original thoughts left in the universe but I truly haven't seen these expressed elsewhere. The candidates were all in fine form last night -- looked good, sounded good. None seemed to stumble horribly or cave in to using the usual ambiguous answers. I was quite proud to see that each candidate seemed on fire with his own brand of Conservatism last night. I ws energized by it actually. The proof that Conservatism is a thinkers political ideology was in abundant evidence. Just as intellects come in all shapes and sizes -- from the rough and tumble biker with the 180 IQ to the clean cut PhD in Physics -- Conservatives are much the same. Our ideology covers quite a spectrum of thought and representation. Listen to Rush Limbaugh's radio show any given day of the week and you'll hear callers that cover this same spectrum, from tee

Scary but Addictive!

Want to spend tons of free time drilling down into interesting data, searching on your favorite causes, and worrying about the current color of your state according to FEC data? Thanks to Dave at Political Base , ConservaChick herself may not sleep tonight... Kentucky is BLUE right now ! ACK! The non-partisan folks at Political Base have plotted FEC contributions on Google maps. They do roll-ups at the metro, city and zip code level and you can also run custom searches like "ACLU" to see individual contributions across the map. WARNING: The use of the Political Base website is not only addictive but it's a little scary! Symptoms may include sweating, anxiety, delirium, and nausea. Please consult your doctor if you experience any of these symptoms after spending too much time with the FEC data in the fun format provided. Nice work, Political Base! Thanks for the heads up on this fun tool, Dave!

Maintaining a Positive Outlook

Provide yourself with a positive outlook on the future of this country using just your computer! Here's how: 1. Create a new folder on your computer. 2. Name it 'Hillary Clinton' 3. Send it to the trash. 4. Empty the trash. 5. Your PC will ask you, 'Do you really want to get rid of 'Hillary Clinton?' 6. Firmly Click 'Yes.' 7. Feel Better. 8. Tomorrow we'll do Ted Kennedy. (Thanks for that chuckle, Mark!)

Heroes at the Holidays

Special dispatch for ConservaChick readers from Ryan Gill at Move America Forward: Starting Monday, November 26th, Move America Forward will wage a huge, cross country pro-troop holiday tour called " Honoring Heroes at the Holidays Tour ." We will have pro-troop rallies and events in 40 cities across America for the next three weeks, and at each event they'll collect signed Christmas, Hanukkah and holiday greeting cards that will be delivered to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. We are collecting over 100,000 cards in this effort - and given the current rate the cards have been coming in to our headquarters at Move America Forward -- that goal could well be exceeded. Please help us spread the word of this effort and forward this link to the Move America Forward tour route so patriotic Americans all across the nation can do their part to show their support for our troops who will be serving more than 7,000 miles away from their families, friends and homes during the hol

Hillaryous!

The seven dwarfs always left to go work in the mine early each morning. As always, Snow White stayed home doing her domestic chores. As lunchtime approached, she would prepare their lunch and carry it to the mine. One day as she arrived at the mine with the lunch, she saw that there had been a terrible cave-in. Tearfully, and fearing the worst, Snow White began calling out, hoping against hope that the dwarfs had somehow survived. "Hello, hello!" she shouted. "Can anyone hear me? Hello!" For a long while, there was no answer. Losing hope, Snow White again shouted, "Hello! Is anyone down there?" Just as she was about to give up all hope, there came a faint voice from deep within the mine. "Vote for Hillary, Vote for Hillary." Snow White fell to her knees, crossed herself and prayed, "Oh, thank you, God! At least Dopey is still alive." (Thanks for sharing that one with me, Mark!) -------------------------------------------------------

Happy Thanksgiving!

It's that time of the year again here in the United States when we who choose to be politically incorrect -- ignore the whole "we took this land from the Native Americans" thing -- and give thanks for all of our blessings anyway. This year instead of my usual ramblings about all that I have to be thankful for, I will try a new tactic and be brief. I am grateful to God for everything and everyone in my life, for all that I am able to do for others, for all that I am able to do for myself, and for the grace and generosity of the country I call home and my fellow countrymen. God bless you all and have a wonderful Thanksgiving! In honor of "turkey day," I hope you'll enjoy this video clip as much as I did...

LOST? Well, not yet...

Can you believe that our president and the Congress might just be willing to give up the United States' sovereignty to the United Nations? Courtesy of the UN and their "Law of the Sea Treaty" (LOST), our government just might be ready to sign over our sovereignty. Scary, isn't it? ... "This treaty is an affront to American national sovereignty. It would give the United Nations authority over much of the world's oceans, including the power to regulate and tax deep-sea mining, and redistribute the proceeds to Third World governments. Moreover, its "hortatory language" provisions are a loaded weapon that activist trial lawyers could easily wield to force the U.S. to adopt laws that the American people's elected representatives otherwise would not." ... [Source: Competitive Enterprise Institute] By supporting something as heinous as this treaty, President Bush continues to alienate the true Conservative base. As with illegal immigration, the pr

Fighting the Battle at Home

It has been a little over a week now since I attended the Veterans for Freedom Townhall meeting in Middletown. I'm embarrassed that it has taken so long to recount the event here on ConservaChick; however, even though it's been a week, I find myself still amazed at the caliber of people I met at that Townhall Meeting. That caliber ran from disgraceful to honorable. (You may be surprised at who I would include in the honorable category.) As I posted here at ConservaChick prior to the event, we expected a hassle from the loony Left in Louisville. Apparently, they couldn't drum up the resources to make a big showing so they opted instead to attend the meeting. (Either that or the Middletown police presence made them think twice.) The meeting was opened by Johnny Waltz who is a disabled Navy veteran. Johnny served onboard the USS George Washington from 2000-2004 and was involved in Operations Noble Eagle, Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. Johnny serves as the Kentucky chapt

Earmark Reform

This is an idea whose time is long overdue! Senator Jim DeMint has quickly become our Conservative watchdog in the Senate and I couldn't be happier about his current drive to reform the earmark process in Congress. Frankly, I'd like to see the practice ended entirely but I'd be willing to settle for a reform that makes the process more transparent. Regardless of your party affiliation, I think we all agree that the way earmarks are handled in Congress has become a disgrace. Conservatives will tell you that Congress has no business collecting taxes that are used for state projects anyway; Liberals might tell you that they would prefer a more transparent way to fund these types of projects. The current process is cloaked in darkness and, if I'm not mistaken, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi had previously vowed to bring it into the light of day. That hasn't happened yet. It's time. It's long past time! "To all members of Congress: It's time to close the Con

"I want to be an individual just like everyone else!"

There are so many follow-up and new items that I'd like to post tonight; however, one of ConservaChick's many "Anonymous" commenters has used a word in his/her commentary that has sparked a rant in my head that must be written. (I apologize in advance for the tangent.) This sentence from Anonymous's comment is what prompted this post tonight: ..."I see this is still just a polarizing, name-calling place where people admire war and question the patriotism of others. "... While I could waste a lot of time defending the uncensored and open atmosphere for which ConservaChick is known, I won't. I will simply say that I post what I feel is important, interesting, or humorous because it's my blog. In return, if anyone is offended, interested, or moved by anything on this blog he/she is welcome to post his/her comments knowing that they will be left intact, unaltered, and never removed. I believe this is about as fair as anyone could be in this sort of

What's on the menu?

A cannibal was walking through the jungle and came upon a restaurant operated by a fellow cannibal. Feeling somewhat hungry, he sat down and looked over the menu... + Tourist: $5 + Broiled Missionary: $10.00 + Fried Explorer: $15.00 + Baked Democrat: $100.00 + Grilled Republican: $100.00 The cannibal called the waiter over and asked, "Why such a price difference for the politicians?" The cook replied, "Have you ever tried to clean one? They're so full of shit, it takes all morning."

One more... just for the Marines

I tried and tried but I simply could NOT resist posting this quote that was sent to me by Joe who lives in the heart of darkness (that's Boston, MA -- Liberal Land to the layperson). Marines, on the occasion of your birthday, here's a little chuckle courtesy of we who admire your courage: "When you guys get home and face an anti-war protester, look him in the eyes and shake his hand. Then, wink at his girlfriend, because she knows she's dating a pussy." -- Commanding General, 1st Marine Division (I hear that the General was Tommy Franks but can't confirm it.)

Compassionate versus Real? Gimme real any day!

It's a bit unfortunate but, there are many times that I find myself wondering where "real" Conservatism has gone. I think of real Conservatism as that ideology well-defined by Barry Goldwater in the 1960s. Read Goldwater's book The Conscience of a Conservative to better understand what I mean by "real" Conservatism. The root difference between the Conservatives and the Liber- als of today is that Conservatives take account of the whole man, while the Liberals tend to look only at the material side of man's nature. The Conservative believes that man is, in part, an eco-nomic, an animal creature; but that he is also a spiritual creature with spiritual needs and spiritual desires. What is more, these needs and desires reflect the superior side of man's nature, and thus take precedence over his economic wants. Conservatism therefore looks upon the enhancement of man's spiritual nature as the primary concern of political philosophy. Liberals, on the

Happy Veteran's Day (Sunday 11/11/07)

The National Republican Senatorial Committee produced a very nice video to say thanks to our veterans. I'm posting it here simply to add my sincerest thanks to every man and woman who serves this country in uniform. Being the daughter of a veteran and having been at one time the wife of a servicemember, I'd like to thank not only the veterans but their families as well. I truly understand and appreciate the sacrifices they make every day so that their loved one may serve. Every one of you -- servicemember, wife, husband, daughter, son -- is a hero in my eyes. Thank you all so much for the path you've chosen and the courage it takes to follow. Send your own Thank You message to our troops at America Supports You !

Your Veteran's Day Duty -- be there or be square!

I want to share the information I received about an exciting event being held this Veteran's Day weekend here in Louisville. Please make plans to attend if you can. It's a great way to honor our military men and women both past and present on Veteran's Day weekend. Honor their sacrifices with a sacrifice of some of your time and attention on Saturday. I hope to see you all there! In honor of Veterans Day, Vets for Freedom and Vets for Victory will be sponsoring a town hall meeting and troop rally with special guest Kentucky Third District Congressional Candidate Erwin Roberts. This event will be held at Eastwood Community Center, which is located at 16300 Eastwood Cutoff Road, Louisville KY 40245 at 3:00 P.M. November 10, 2007. If you have any questions please contact Johnny Waltz at 513-488-0982 or email at johnnywaltz2000@gmail.com . I guess we could have gift-wrapped this one.

As sad as it is to admit this, I expected the GOP to lose the Governor's mansion this year. My fellow Republicans may still want to debate whether Northup or Harper could have won the general election. It's a worthless debate. The backlash on Republicans this year was written in stone the moment Governor Fletcher pardoned those under scrutiny in the hiring probe. Call it a "witch hunt" all you like, what happened cast a shadow of doubt on a party that hadn't seen the inside of the Governor's mansion in over three decades. That was it. I canvassed neighborhoods, knocked on doors, called voters, and worked crowds at football games for Governor Fletcher in 2004. I know exactly why he was elected -- citizens, not just Republicans but ALL citizens, were tired of scandal after scandal from Frankfort. They believed Ernie when he said he would clean up Frankfort. Democrats said over and over again to me, "I'm sick of seeing my Governor cry on TV. It's tim

Hooray for Uncle Jay!

Wow. What can I say? There are times when I just cruise the internet and other times when I drill deeper into my favorite sites. Sometimes either method of internet enjoyment pays off. Tonight I cried "Eureka!" when I saw this while drilling deeper into Jib Jab. It may be old; you may have seen it; but it's still priceless! Enjoy!! Stark raving mad, I tell you!

Fortney Hillman Stark, Jr. is stark raving mad. I base my statement on the video below. This nonsensical diatribe from Pete Stark (D CA-13) was spewed on the floor of the House today during the Democrats' attempt to override President Bush's veto of the SCHIP bill. (That vote failed, thank goodness.) I'm embarrassed to admit this but... yours truly used to live in Pete Stark's district in California. (ACK!) Yep, this clown was MY representative in Congress. *sigh* Fortunately, that was many years ago now and I don't recall him embarrassing himself and his constituency back then. It is obvious to me that Rep. Stark (D CA-13) needs to be removed from his post. The man has obviously lost his marbles. He has not only embarrassed himself and his constituency but he has insulted our men and women in uniform serving this country along with our Commander-in-Chief. Congressman Stark, dementia has obviously set into that 76-year-old brain of yours; it's time to retire or

Why don't we hear about THIS on the evening news?!

I don't know about you but *I* certainly didn't hear a peep about this on any of the mainstream evening news shows. Thanks to the press releases from US CENTCOM, I did hear about it though. And, now, so will you! (Thanks for the release, CENTCOM. Keep up the good work!!) 72-Year-Old Concerned Citizen Takes Down Suicide Bomber FORWARD OPERATING BASE KALSU, Iraq – A 72-year-old man stopped a suspected suicide bomber from detonating himself at a checkpoint in Arab Jabour Oct. 14. The man approached a checkpoint where Mudhehr Fayadh Baresh was standing guard, but did not make it very far. Baresh, a tribal commissioner and member of the Arab Jabour Concerned Citizens program, said he ordered the man to lift his shirt - using training received from Coalition Forces - when he did not recognize him as a local villager. The suspect refused to lift his shirt. Baresh repeated the command again, and the suspect exposed his suicide vest, running toward the checkpoint. Baresh op

Worth More than 1,000 Words

I received the following headlines and photos via email a few days ago. I'm sure many of my Conservative readers have seen this already but, since some of ConservaChick's friends are probably NOT on the Conservative distribution list, I thought I'd share it here as well. This is how a US Senator looks upon a crook: ["Why Norm! Is that a bundle in your pocket or are ya just happy to see me?!"] ...and, this is how a US Senator looks upon an American hero: ["I see no bundle in your pocket, General Petraeus. Are you not happy to see me?"] These pictures are worth more than a thousand words. They those of us who value our military heroes everything we need to know about Hillary Clinton and the Clinton regime. [Thanks for sending this my way, Mom!]

It's a dirty job but somebody has to do it!

It is my sincerest hope that Kentuckians who intend to make informed decisions at the polls this November are not relying on the mainstream media in this state to enlighten them on anything of substance with regard to the actual merit hiring probe that Beshear's campaign is using to smear Governor Fletcher. If it weren't for the folks at Conservative Edge , none of us would find much real enlightenment with regard to the much trumpeted "merit hiring probe" that resulted in endictments to some in Governor Fletcher's administration. It appears now that the person who implemented the "pre-selection" process at the heart of the matter is the same person who lodged the complaint with the state Attorney General. Hmmm... Vast Leftwing Conspiracy? Shocking, isn't it?! ... "Last week, CE reported that Missy McCray had testified that Doug Doerting himself had implemented the "pre-selection" process in the Transportation Cabinet that formed the

Anti-Sanctuary Cities Amendment Vote Lost

I am sorry to report that the battle to help push the aye votes on Senator Vitter's amendment to end the practice of " sanctuary city " policies by state and local governments was lost tonight. For now, cities can continue to break federal law without consequence. They can order their police not to report illegal aliens, even though federal law says such orders are illegal. The Clinton and Bush Justice Departments have refused to enforce the law. Tonight, 52 Senators decided against threatening the loss of federal funds if those cities don't end their illegal sanctuary policies. This was an embarrassing display by the Democratic Party. All but one of the Democratic votes protected the ability of outlaw cities to protect illegal aliens from detention (and, thus, to protect the oulaw businesses that hire them). Only Senator Mary Landrieu of Louisiana broke with the Senate Democratic leadership's almost constant endorsement of illegal immigration. Even though we lo

Auction Watch

As of this moment in time, the eBay auction bid on the Limbaugh smear letter drafted and sent by Senator "Dingy" Harry Reid (co-signed by 41 other idiots in Congress) to Clear Channel Communications is now up to $65, 100 ! (Don't worry, you've got 2 days 14 hours left to nab this gem for yourself.) I'll bet this is the first time that Harry Reid has ever been involved in a benefit for the families of Marine Corps & Law Enforcement servicemembers without taking the money from the taxpayers. Come to think of it, he's involved UNwillingly... Rush has challenged him to match the winning bid. Wonder what the Vegas odds are on that? ;-)

The war according to people who are actually there. Now.

In yet another refreshing view of the truth on the ground in Iraq, I had the pleasure today of reading a new dispatch from Michael Yon. I absolutely HAVE to share it with you! Greetings: Iraq is on the mend, al Qaeda is on the run, and the civil war has abated to a point where the term "civil war" no longer applies. Accurate war coverage is increasingly important. Even prominent seemingly well-informed persons can get it wrong, such as retired Lieutenant General Ricardo Sanchez who previously commanded the war in Iraq. His recent public statements –selectively excerpted and then widely dispersed by the hot winds of media – made it clear that this former senior commander is far out of touch with the current situation. But there are commanders with a finger on the pulse. When earlier this year I wrote about the 1-4 CAV transforming an abandoned seminary in a Baghdad neighborhood that had been decimated by civil war, the "surge" had not even begun; but already pundits

Priceless!

As of right now, the bid appears to be up to $50,100 but this auction is simply priceless! "The 'phony soldiers' smear letter to Clear Channel from Senator Harry Reid (who has a lower approval rating in Nevada than Rush) has passed $45,000 on eBay . You can download a pdf of this historic letter for free here . Every cent of the winning bid goes to support the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation . Rush will match that donation out of his own pocket when the auction closes on Friday, and challenges the 41 Democrats who signed the letter to do the same." [ Source: "Rush in a Hurry" newsletter dated 10/15/07] Rush, you have once again raised the bar for turning a stupid Dem smear tactic into a clever and meaningful mission! This ConservaChick is proud to be among your audience on a daily basis. Thanks for all you do for our men and women in uniform and their families!

Stop Sanctuary Cities (HR 3093)

You have a chance to help pass an amendment Tuesday that would effectively end the "sanctuary city" movement. Tuesday morning (10/16/07), please call 202-224-3121 and ask your Senators to vote FOR Senator Vitter's anti-sanctuary amendment to the H.R. 3093 appropriations bill. This is known as the "CJS (Commerce, Justice and Science) spending bill." The amendment by Sen. Vitter (R-LA) would deny a popular federal police grant to cities that adopt "sanctuary" policies. These are policies that prohibit police from reporting illegal aliens to the feds. Generally, sanctuary policies instruct city employees not to notify the federal government of the presence of illegal aliens living in their communities. The policies also end the distinction between legal and illegal immigration -- so illegal aliens often benefit from city services too. Sanctuary policies have been against federal law since the 1996 federal immigration law required local governments to

You've broken my heart, Newt!

I suppose he'll be doing what he does best and it will be good for the GOP; however, I must admit that I'm heartbroken. I really, really, really wanted to vote for President Newt Gingrich in the general election in '08. Dang it. ... "Gingrich also announced that he would not be running for the Republican nomination in the upcoming 2008 presidential election. Because of the McCain-Feingold law, passed by Congress in 2002, Gingrich could not lead American Solutions and simultanously run as a presidential nominee." ... I hear that Newt likes Mike Huckabee . I'm glad to have my pick in this horse race validated by Newt; I like Mike too. I suppose I'll be disappointed after the primary but I'm going to have to stick with the next best choice to Newt. Huckabee reflects my values and my issues and I'll be voting for him in the primary. Pass the tissues, Newt and go get 'em, Mike!

Conservatives Betraying Conservatives

I often receive press releases and/or dispatches from groups but none have aggravated me more than one I recently received from Richard Viguerie. In many cases, I tend to agree with him, especially with regard to "big government Conservatives;" however, this time I'm afraid he's lost his marbles. ConservativesBetrayed.com is hosting a petition stating that "...if the Republican Party nominates pro-abortion candidates, they [Republicans who sign the petition] will not support them." Look, I helped to virtually hand the White House to the Clintons on a silver platter once; I'll be damned if I'll do it again! This is one of the DUMBEST things I've EVER heard! If the GOP nominee ends up being Rudy Guiliani, Viguerie and his fellow petitioners seem to think that voting for a third-party candidate and handing the general election to a Democrat is better than electing a Republican to nominate Supreme Court justices. If Viguerie's issue is truly abo

The Cost of Illegal Immigration

If you are a tax-paying US citizen, here are a few facts that you should consider very carefully before voting for any senator or congressman, regardless of party, who supports any form of amnesty for illegal immigrants. $11 Billion to $22 billion is spent on welfare to illegal aliens each year. (Source: http://tinyurl.com/zob77 ) $2.2 Billion dollars a year is spent on food assistance programs such as food stamps, WIC, and free school lunches for illegal aliens.
